Before we go further into the core of the topic, a distinction must be highlighted between ‘Fine Art’ and Creative Art. Within creativity references to Art. Generally, this practice is referred to as Applied Art. This occurs when we utilise, the similar disciplines and techniques of Fine Art. We design and make objects for a specific function or purpose. The object becoming a product, considerations for its financial value is also applied, to the maker and the consumer.

Apart from economics, the industry offers, joy, inspiration, and lots of opportunities for global communities.

ARTIFICIAL TECHNOLOGY – AI

In New Technology driven societies, researchers in labs are using Neural Networks, and computer program to mimic the human brain, containing billions of cells. A non-material substance, where is the mind located in this potential cyborg?

Advancing its use in the creative industry, the views of the professionals are two fold. No originality is there, they say. It is simply a high speed rush, and multiplication of automation. AI in the creative industry is artificial, no real innovation, only imitation.

Others say there is no Fine Art or Creative art with AI. Early days, but in the future using AI as a tool, may assist artists to make original work. There are many people engaging with the machine, hoping to find solutions and ways to progress. AI is playing a great role, assisting to design the future. However, the Carbon Footprint of this AI machine, is extremely large!

Designed objects that are mass-produced, are manufactured in Large numbers. They are made by automated machines, or programmed robots.

Ceramics in Creative Art & Design, include both emotional and rational elements. The rational elements relate to its use, technicalities and functions.
