AFRICA AWAITS ITS CREATORS

A well known word for the huge continent. Africa remains a place in our imagination, a vision not yet real.
In the world community, where a State or Nationhood is concerned, there are rules and regulations to be followed by all.
The continent, not yet a single Sovereign State, there is no African Passport, no Flag, no Single Currency, no Single Language called African. One that all the nations speak.
Where then is the Africa we speak of? Some people say it is in our Hearts, in our cultural traditions, in our spirituality. From these answers, we could assume, maybe that is the reason why, we are so far behind the times, when we compare and contrast, African people with other nations.

TRIBAL & ETHNIC
Identity on the continent is known, maintained, and preserved in the Village, or acquired from the Region in which an individual is born.
Nationality and city states, are new, modern imported political orders. The Elders hold on to the traditional ways of life.
While many of the current leaders, are attempting to gain acceptance, by sharing their visions for the future.
The social and civic battles, are also about Modernity verses Traditions.
The African Continent is a land mass of 11, 724, 000 square miles. (30, 365, 000 square kilometres). With a population of 1.5 Billion people. As one example, in one State, there are over 100 distinct tribes, all speaking their own dialects and languages. This situation is widespread across the whole continent in 55 states. Making the attempt to unify the tribes and languages as one, is way beyond the concept and perception, of the majority on the African continent.
MENTAL DECOLONISATION

Emancipation is not only about land and body, we are now at the stage where decolonisation of the mind, is the supreme effort. The ultimate resources of any nation, are every single one of its people.
The negatives of recent history, force many of the African populations to be fixated on the past. Generating major barriers when dealing with the present, in order to secure a better future. The tomorrow for Africa we all can see, is agreed and designed on paper. Yet it is lingering there, with the appearance of lacking the energy, drive, and unified effort to make it work for real! Beyond desire, planning, and wishful thinking.
PRIMARY GOALS

What are the primary goals of the African Leaders? From the middle to end of the 20th century, the exploration of mineral resources, were the most significant economic activities. Instead of agriculture, and food security. Including the crisis of good leadership, these were major stumbling block to progress. Coup de’Tat. Civil wars, population displacements of millions in all states.
African people, the big question is, “can we all work together to achieve the benefits for all, is it possible?” Yes it can be done, others have achieved it. Think! What are the best unique methods to be utilised, in order to achieve this mammoth task? Ade Lawal.
