BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
Thomas Sowell was born in 1930, Carolina U.S.A. His family was among the large migration moving to the Northern States, in the attempt to escape the severe Jim Crow Laws in the Deep South.
In the 1940s, from age of 10 he grew up in Harlem, New York.
In 1951, he was recruited into the United States Marine, and experienced active duties during the Korean War.
In 1952, he was honourably discharged from military service.
He graduated from Harvard University in 1958. Thomas received a doctorate in economics, from the University of Chicago in 1968.
