The Artist Mindmaps

Written with translated text in both English and Amharic languages, ten visual artists working in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the political and diplomatic capital of Africa, give their reflections, intimate introspections and personal experiences about their professional art practices in the city. The Artists Mind-Maps is a document recording their journeys and examines the creative process and methods used in visual arts productions. There is a gallery of exciting visual images throughout the book. The narrative attempts to open channels and assist audiences to participate with aesthetic dialogues, in line with growing global interest in African fine arts. The text includes contributions from chief curator Ahmed Zekaria, Tadesse Mesfin, with an extended essay by Danijah Tafari.
